Raymond Turns 1

We had Ray Rays party on November 11, 2006 for his birthday. It turned out to be such a great time. I worked really hard on making sure everything was perfect. We had a nacho bar, caramel fondue with apples, cookies and of course cake and ice cream. The theme we decided to go with was the zoo, very fitting for our life lately. Since I have been getting into cake decorating I decided I would make his cake. I made the animals out of fondant about a month ago and set them out to dry. The rest of the cake I waited until the Friday before the party to make. It turned out so cute. I also made Raymond cake that he got to eat himself. It was a lion and boy did he like it. He didn't do the typical grabbing with his hands, he did a head dive into it. Everyone just laughed.

Here is Raymonds Cake that he got dig into.

I know what he would look like with a beard now.

Wanting to eat more cake.

My mom, dad, brother Billy and Billy's wife Crystal came up the day before to help me get things ready. I was glad that they did I don't think I could have done everything without them. My brother Garin and his wife Sara drove in from Bakersfield also for the party. We had a lot of friends and family here to help celebrate. My friend Susan and her husband came and brought the twins. They kept trying to give Michael kisses and he was not having any part in that. They are 3 years old and just adorable.

It was a great time and we wish the rest of our friends and family could have been there. It is so hard to believe that he is a year old. It seems like yesterday they were handing me this tiny pink baby for the first time. How did I get so lucky?

Halloween 2006

This year for Halloween we decided to dress Michael up as Superman and Ray Ray up as a cute little devil. Michael loved being Superman, the cape was exciting for him. I had him hand out candy with me, he would run to the door each time the doorbell went off. Raymond he didn't know what was going on just that he wanted the head piece off of his head as soon as possible.
